    Unable to install linux in AMD Athelon

    hello,i try to install mandriva in my machine.. But it is not entering in to the install option..
    first it shows the menu for operations such as
    1.Boot from Hard disk.
    2.Install mandriva into the machine.
    3.Rescue the system.
    I have entered into the second option..
    it shows Kernel loading..
    Then the screen becomes black ..thats all..it was stopped with that..
    My system configuration is 512Mb ram,
    320 gb HD, AMD Athelon
    ..
    what should i do to rectify this problem?

    Which version of Mandriva are you trying to install? Which Graphics Card do you have?
    It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.
