well i've gotten over the fact that i can't get my ati card's video in functions to work (i'll just watch tv on a tv) but i have some bad news
those ati drivers messed up my system. sure it set up the monitor (even the dual one but i don't have a 2nd monitor so it doesn't matter) but it didn't set up 3d accererated functions so i can't play tuxrace in real speed.
i set the graphical sever back to Ati Radeon(fglrx) but i still cant run my games.
so i ask the question how can i undo that install of the ati drivers?

before installing fglrx-4.3.0-3.11.1.i386 you have to install kernel-source package !!!

Can you tell us what was solved, the exact model of the card and what you're doing now? Can you watch and record TV now? Do you have 3d acceration again? Just wondering.
