I am running mdk10 and KDE

I have successfully installed glib 1.2.10 (1.2.2 was giving me errors)

Now when I run ./configure (in the gtk+ dir) it says something like there is
It says it is missing the X libraries or include files
I'm guessing this means the X Windows Manager

How do I get it to recognize it?

PS I am trying to install xmms
PPS I searched, but found nothing
