    CD writing in MANDRIVA2007

    I can't write cd's in mandriva2007.I couldn't find any inbuilt cd writing wizard.How can I write cd's then?Is there any commands.can anyone briefly explain me?

    If you are running KDE, check out K3b. I'd be surprised if it isn't already installed.

    If you are running Gnome, you can use CD/DVD Creator found in the places menu. It uses the Nautilus File Manager to operate.

    If one of them isn't already installed, you should be able to install either of these apps, depending on the desktop environment you are running.

    Even nautilus is not working.

    You could try gnomebaker or brasero. K3b works fine in GNOME as well.

    CD writing in MANDRIVA07

    I tried installing nero linux.It installed but still didn't work.
    In mandriva07 cd drive has default read only permission(r).so it is not possible to add data.Is there any command to change cd drive permission to x?

    Have you tried native tools like k3b, brasero and gnomebaker?

    the default permission for cd/dvd drive is read only.I am unable to change it.so none of the tools are working.
