Quick question, does mandriva 2009 support mapping to a samba share from "run command" i.e. ALT+F2?
when I do \\server\share noting happens, also whan I do smb:\\server\share a page opens up but times out. At no time am I prompted for my username and password.

Install smb4k...the use the command
smb4k_mount (check options for what you need)
I would do it this way because some progs. (like open office) can't handle a mounted smb share correctly otherwise..Loy

Yeah, I am using smb4k but it was just easier to do ALT+F2 and type \\whatever\share.
Anyway, I am having lots of issues with Mandriva so I am going back to SUSE and KDE 3.5.Registered Linux user # 395739
