    buggy konqueror and opera

    hello mandriva users,

Two nights ago i installed mandriva 2009 in my laptop, and is the "best" distro for me so far . However, i got a problem with my two favorities browser: opera and konqueror.
    1. Opera crash on every page with flash or java ... (i think that is a problem related with the plugins) Can someone point me in the right direction here?
    2. Konqueror is working "fine", but sometimes is way to slow, buggy ... is there a problem with konqueror in kde 4 or mandriva?
    3. Is there anything like backspace button for konqueror? i want my browser return to the previous page when i hit the backspace button.

any linux user willing to help me will receive a two days vacation in "your office"

    thanks

I used KDE for 8 years and during the entire time always found Konqueror to have bugs that I couldn't overcome. For that reason, I never could stick with it. Konqueror in KDE4 didn't perform any better for me, and it seemed to be about as buggy as the rest of the desktop environment itself.

Regarding Opera, I was a licensed (paid) user for many years, but after version 6.0 was released, I fell out of love with it and though I've tried each new version since then, it simply no longer appeals to me.

Check the toolbar configuration settings for options to add buttons that you might want to add to Konqueror.

I really had high hopes for Konqueror and KDE4 but it didn't happen, at least yet. Hopefully, they'll get it all together within the next few releases. Until then, it's Firefox for me as well.
