How to install Mozilla 3.0 on linux?
Hello! Firstly, I'm a ex-windows user, and I browse hte web alot, cos I'm a phone modder (SE), and the firefox, that I use, is pretty old. I downloade the archive from mozilla.com, and now, what to do! I use Mandriva 2007.0 (i586) .Anyway, I tried to understand, how to install such programs on linux, and I simply can't make it work.
Can someone give me a step-by-step installation guide for programs?
Thanks a lot!

Welcome to the forums!
You can check this thread for several different ways to install software under Linux:
http://www.linuxforums.org/forum/lin...are-linux.html
You can actually run Firefox without installing it system-wide if you wish by unpacking the download and then clicking on the firefox file found in the firefox folder.
You might want to look into setting up and using URPMI for installing software under Mandriva as it's often the easiest installation method for new users.oz
