im new to mandriva and linux and was wondering if anybody can help me with my mp3 and what program is good to download music with on mandriva....
the problem with my mp3 is that when i connected on to my computer linux doesnt reconigzed it....

Welcome to the forums!
You might want to set up URPMI to ease the pain of software installation under Mandriva. You can check out Easy URPMI for the files you might need to play certain file types.
You can find some good multimedia applications here. If you should find something you like there, try using URPMI to install it before trying to install from source.

my mp3 software doesnt work
im tying to install emodio for my samsung mp3 player so i can convert my videos..... what cani do to install it
