New to Mandrake 10.0 and Linux couple questions

Hey everyone. I am new to the world of linux so I have a few questions.

1: I have 4.1 suround sound and I was wondering how or if i could enable it in mandrake. I am using SoundBlaster LIVE! 5.1

2: I have a DualBoot system with XP Pro and Mandrake 10.0 is there a way I could import my MP3s to Mandrake while doing stuff on it?

3: Any other advise and links with info on mandrake/Linux for noobs would be GREAT.

1. I believe most SoundBlaster cards are supported.
2. Yes, just mount your Windows hd in Linux (note: if its NTFS, then you can read it but not write to it)
3. Come here with a more questions and problems.

how do I mount it so I can read. Cuase in partitions it says it;'s mounted but when I got to /mnt/win_c2 (main windows drive) it says I cant access it.

chmod 777 win_c2

do that in a terminal...
