    Question Freeing Up Hard disk spaces !!

    Hi,
    I have installed Mandriva 2009, but after that I found that I am not having enough spaces on disk. I had allocated 9GB to linux. What all can I remove to free some space. Like in windiows any temp folder ,,, also I thinkthere are so many packages copied to hardisk at installation time, where can I find that ?

    It's been a long time since I've run Mandrake, but look around here:

    /var/cache/urpmi/rpms
    If that's not right, it should be close.

    Mandriva keeps no copies of the packages. By default, it erases all the downloaded packages. Since the growing of an ext3 partition is a very painfull thing and not recommended at all, it is better to reinstall it with the repartition of your HDD. I think, there are no cheap solutions for your problem!
