Hello
Hello peeps,
Running mandrake 10 for the first time, (normally use red hat) and deal with Free BSD everday on servers here, was just wondering if anybody has ever installed or fooled with GTKTERM, it is a linux copy of Hyperterm for windows, it will give a serial connection to routers ect, via a GUI, I have sucessfully installed it and got it up and running but to no avail. Get a error:
Gdk-CRITICAL **: file ../../gdk/gdkgc.c: line 464 (gdk_gc_get_colormap): assertion `GDK_IS_GC (gc)' failed
and if run from a terminal window get the repeat of:
Control signals read: Input/output error
Well thanks for any help you guys can give.

How did you install it? RPM, source, etc...?
Also, I know for some programs that connect through serial, you need to either
- Run it as root or
- Give the user permission to access the port.

I know that there's a MDK 10.0 RPM for that program. I guess I would try to install that and see if maybe that works. Other then that, I can't really offer anymore.
Anyone else?
