[SOLVED] Install Problems
After suffering much pain with Ubuntu Intrepid Ibex I thought I would try a switch to Mandriva. I purchased a Mandriva One 2009 CD but cannot install same.
When I boot from the CD I receive BusyBox messages including:
"Cannot run '/etc/init.d/rcS' : No such file or directory."
"-sh: can't access tty; job control turned off"
Can someone please tell me how I can Install Mandriva.

Did installer throw any error during installation?
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

Its difficult to know pinpoint what is causing the problem from the information you gave. It could be a hardware problem or a corrupt disc. Try a different disc ad see if that helps resolve the problem.
