Keyboard : missing accent keys
Hello,
I installed a Mandriva 2009 on an Asus Eee pc (model 900).
Keyboard is a UK layout with some accent keys.
However I cannot obtain display of these accents. Whatever mixed keys (Alt ..etc..) I tried.
Thanks for any help or clue.
Bye,
Bruno

Use the character map.
Look in Applications/Text Tools under KDE/Gnome.

Hello,
so I found kcharselect under my KDE application-tools menu.
It seems to allows picking a character with accent but as a one-shot operation via a virtual keyboard.
But how to setup the keyboard itself in a permanent way ?
Meaning Alt-e returns e with accent.
The Xandros Linux installed originally on the Asus gave the correct keys.
Thanks for attention.
Bye,
Bruno
