You can edit the timeout line accordingly in your /boot/grub/menu.lst file.

thanks but i stumbled upon the easy way. go to administration, window opens up at bottom will see boot, in boot tab will see setup boot system, when it opens will see tab called main options , right there will be delay before booting image theres a box to put in the value. thought id share it for anyone else looking for it
