KDE apps not recognize network
I have a good network connection, Firefox can browse the web, BitTorrent can download, the package manager can download, even ifconfig and iwconfig confirm that I am connected to the internet. In fact, even SMB4K recognizes the network and other machines.
But none of the KDE applications do. Konqueror won't browse the web, and KTorrent won't download. When I try to ping the internet I don't get a response, [B]wget[B] doesn't work either.
My friend had a look at it and said he thinks it's a problem with KioSlave(?).
Well, I'm a newbie, and I don't really know what that is.
Could somebody please help me out here?
Thanks.Cogito ergo surf - I think therefore I network.
