[SOLVED] VLC without picture in Mandriva

Hello Mandrive-user,

I´m new using Mandriva.
Use an MSI WIND Netbook with Mandriva 2009.
Installation an using hardware will be o.k.
Now I will looking AVI or MPEG videos ?
Have downloaded VLC .
When I start avi or mpg-Video in VLC , there is no picture to see.
But I hear the voices.
When I start the Video in Dolphin with the option
"open with" -VLC start one second (also without picture) an ended.
What can I do ??
Need I some codecs also ?
Use VLC in XP without this problems.:

hi and welcome mandriva comes with built in codecs have you tried using kaffeine are you able too view your videos from there
