[SOLVED] I broke my synaptic. WAH!
When I open Synaptic GUI (or CLI), I get this:
[root@localhost ~]# apt-get install synaptic
E: Vendor block FingerPrint is invalid
E: Vendor block Name is invalid
E: The list of sources could not be read.
[root@localhost ~]#
Can I restore Synaptic from the LiveCD? Is there ANY way?

There is no need to re-install Synaptic. Something is wrong with sources only.
Post the contents of /etc/apt/sources.list file here.
Code:cat /etc/apt/sources.list
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

Here's another error as I open Synaptic GUI:
If I click on 'Settings/Repos', I get a blank repo window, with the error window on top. Close the error window, and the repo window goes away too. ???E: Vendor block FingerPrint is invalid
E: Vendor block Name is invalid
E: The list of sources could not be read.
Go to the repository dialog to correct the problem.
Password:
[root@localhost ~]# cat /etc/apt/sources.list
# Package repository URL's
# Signed repositories have a [<key>] where <key> is the name of the key
# as it appears in vendors.list. If you remove it, no digital signature check
# will be made.

I am not a PCLinuxOS user but contents of sources.list and vendors.list files are correct. Execute this
Post error message here, if any.Code:sudo apt-get clean all sudo apt-get update
It is amazing what you can accomplish if you do not care who gets the credit.

I tried apt-get synaptic install, clean, update, all 3, but the return was always the same as the pop-up error post 1 pic above.
I was in the right neighborhood, but I couldn't get the last puzzle piece in place.
Solved here:
I broke Synaptic! Meltdown.
