how do i change the kde start menu icon
i know how to change icons but i can seem to change that one. i am not a big fan of stars and would rather have the kde logo. anyone know the answer to this?

Thank you. i had tried to use that icon swaping technique but was in the wrong folder (wasn't in theme folder) now its just the way i like it.

update:
this works until i preform an update. then the star comes back. anyone know how to prevent this?

what upgrade are you doing exactly? KDE upgrade? security?

it seems to be effected by any and all "mandrakelinux updates"

Since KDE release a lot of "fixes" that could re-apply default settings
