Mandrake 10 on laptop - network adpater problem

Hello; I am newbie and just had installed Mandrake 10 on my Compaq presario laptop. Instalation went pretty good, and everything works fine except my network adpter. On boot when listing devices it says for every device "bringing up...OK" , but fornetwork card it failed.
Maybe it choose wrong driver (Intel express pro 100), how can I reinstall it ??

I also tried to boot with Knoppix 3.4 and network also doesnt work.

Before that on same laptop with Windows network was working fine.

Please can you help me what can I do with this problem ???

Hi,
Could you give the exact type of your NIC? (from Compaq site maybe with the exact model of yout laptop or from the windows drivers if you can still boot windows on this machine)
You can show some information about your hardware issuing the following commands as root :
# lspcidrake
# dmesg | grep eth

You can check and change your configuration in the Mandrake Control Center ("Configure your computer" in the menu).
