    Mandriva 2009.1 and static ip

I am also having a hastle getting my new Mandriva 2009.1 install to accept a static ip from the config GUI (network center). I set it up as manual and 192.168.0.3 - but it dosn't stick when i reboot. Using NFS and need the static ip.

Looked for /etc/network (most recerntly coming from Kubuntu) no such directory. Can anyone tell me where the network config files are?

finally - hw to brag about - but next year it will look pitifully quaint:

twoHats, I've not run Mandriva since it was called Mandrake, but check this wiki page if you haven't done so already to see if it provides any info that might help:

In the interim, perhaps a Mandriva user will reply with more help.
