problem installing modem
i have linux mandrake 10.0 installed and intel537 modem, i have downloaded
drivers and tried to install them the way it is written in the readme file.Loged in as root, extracted driver, typed "make clean","make 537",and when i typed "make install" there was a message "error- the device doesn´t exist in proc/modules, and the installation stopped.Did anybody installed this modem on linux, ´cause i have another modem "rockwelll 56k dial up modem",whitch is recognized by the system, but when i try to configure it
it says thet the modem is not supported by the system, or that it supports only kernels 2.4 and above. thnx[/b]

well for the second problem, which kernel are you using? why don't you update your kernel to the latest stable (2.6.x-x) kernel
