Find is not working on Mandrake 10.1

I cannot get find to work. I put in a search string and click find. The program crashes. It stops responding and asks me if I would like to terminate the app. Please help

use the command line 'find' (or 'locate', which is faster if you run 'updatedb' nightly).. some DE apps can be a little flaky.

you should also report a bug to MDK,as you're using Community Edition.

I have the same problem in Mandrake 10, so I don't think it's just the community edition.
