can't send email mdk 10.2 to XP outlook
I have a mandrake 10.2 machine. I want to send mail from it to my XP machine from the command line (within a bash script). The XP machine is on local intranet at work. E-mail comes from windows server somewhere at work. The mdk 10.2 is at work also. Our IT has set up an e-mail account on our local domain.
something like
user at eagle.com = email account on windows server
eagle.local = local windows domain
I'm sure that I've messed up my postfix/main.cf
I have a working internet connection on the mdk through our intranet.
I can't successfully send/receive mail on the mdk. A few times mail has left the outbox but never received or returned.
I guess I need to setup the proper hostname, domain, etc.
I'm new to this so I need some direction, I don't know where to start.
somebody help me please!

I have actually got the mail to work, somewhat.
I can send mail from root to Outlook recipients at work.
I can't send mail to root.
I'll check out those links Jnike, thanks.
