I run mandrake 10 official edition with dsl internet (sympatico isp) When I ran the config utility for the internet, it detected my ethernet card and I put in my isp username and password. All went well until I tried to make it run. It would say connecting.... then connection failed, check you internet settings. I tried numerous times and nothing worked. I phoned tech support and they confirmed that they use pppoe auth. I am using adsl connection setting with pppoe. The modem I use is an efficient networks speedstream 5200 modem. The ethernet light and power are on, and the dsl light flashes. What could I be doing wrong?

is it possible for me to use rp-pppoe and connect that way?
