    how to install f2180 hp printer in mandriva 2008

    Im using compaq armada e500. I have installed mandriva 2008 in it..im havin hp f2180 all in one series .plz guide me how to install the driver for hp2180 printer and scanner in detail.I am new to mandriva..I didnt know any commands..

    Welcome to the forums!

    That printer works "perfectly" with Linux according to the OpenPrinting.org database and uses the hpijs driver:

    OpenPrinting database - Printer: HP Deskjet F2180

    If you have the proper driver installed, I'd recommend using the CUPS interface to add and configure your printer by opening your web browser and then entering localhost:631 into the browser location bar.

    Note that Mandriva 2008 is almost a couple of years old now, so a newer Mandriva release might have better hardware detection and added features that you could make good use of.
