[SOLVED] Problem installing 2010
Hello,
I have the CDROM and HD attached and found by bios without a hitch. Once I boot it starts the Mandriva KDE One CD and shows me the nice screen with the spinning circle. After a while you get the bootup details on the screen but then it dumps me to the shell where I can log in as root.
My question: Why do I not reach the desktop? To install it to the HD I need to reach the desktop, right?
There are no error messages as far as I can tell, but it still dumps me to shell instead of starting X and KDE. I have compared the md5 with the mandriva site and it is correct.
All help is appreciated, I really want to get this install going!
