Linux Kernel Version and Root Login???
I have two questions this time i was wondering how i could find out my linux kernel version through of course mandrake linux.
I also need to know how in the world to log into root rather than TriggerGuard...

To log in as root, at the login screen type root, and then the root password. Or you can open a terminal and type su, and then enter the root password when prompted. Not sure on detecting the kernel version except for when you see it load on bootup, definately another way to tell though

Thank you for your help...as far as logging in as root if it were as simple as typing in root i would have done so...but i cannot, it is the graphical login screen and i simply click TriggerGuard and then i am prompted for a password...i will try the su command thank you jeremy and genesus
