whene mandrake shuts down is it supposed to shut off buy it self or do I need to turn it off manualy after the system halts like whene hd stops spinning
Do i add the line at the bottom.

Try adding the option ACPI=force to /etc/lilo.conf. Remember to run lilo -v any time you modify the file.
