Problem / Noobyness in different sessions

    :)
I have a little issue regarding the session

I logued in a User and wanted to start another one...

    clicked new session...
    logued as Root

when I wanted to switch from Root to User,

Shift-alt-F1 (or something like that), and I get this

    SomeUser@localhost:
i type in my user log into that...
but how do I get my "GUI"???
startx tells me that its already running...

    thanks in advance

to start X then, type this: startx -- :1

If you want to revert back to your old X session, press ctrl-alt-f7 (most likely)

so reverting to the old session is always F7??

    thanks again

then the first session is f7, the second is f8 and f9 is the 3'rd one (usually, unless you did some special configuration).
