vlc reports error in Mandriva, but all is fine in Windows.
I have downloaded few movies from Torrent websites. When I play them in Mandriva 2011, it reports the following error:
No suitable decoder module:
VLC does not support the audio or video format "mp4a". Unfortunately there is no way for you to fix this.
There is no sound in the movie.
However the same plays well in Media Player Classic in Windows 7.

mp4a audio is usually used by Apple's audio files... advanced audio codec I believe.
I don't run Mandrive, but I found this page from the Mandriva Forums: Mandriva Forum (en) • View topic - How to get a Mp4-file with AAC-audio-codec?
Also some info here... start with the third post down: playing m4a files in Amarok 2? • KDE Community ForumsJay
