Root login
Noob here. Using Mandrakelinux 10.0 & KDE.
How can I set up to log in as root from GUI? I know this is not a good idea, but would like to know anyway. The only way I've been able to find to get Root priviliges is su from a terminal.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Thanks for the quick response, but it doesn't come up that way. When it comes up, it only shows the one user I set up upon install. There is nowhere to enter anything until I click on the icon for this user. Is there somewhere I can change this?
Thanks

You can use Mandrake Control Center to install and choose different themes of KDM. I think there's about three different ones. Find one that allows you type in the user name rather then having to choose. You may also want to install GDM as that has about 2.3x10^8 themes rather then the three KDM offers.
