I searched the forum for this specific problem and I cannot find it so hopefully this isn't a repost!
I just installed Mandrake 10.1 with no problems... except that when given the opportunity to install updates and other programs, I recieved error messages.
I skipped that part and after install I tried to reboot. I recieve the boot screen giving me options of linux or windows and when I pick linux, it tries to boot but hangs on the boot screen.
I cannot use my keyboard, the floppy drive light is constantly on, and I have to restart to do anything w/ it.
I've posted my pc specs on my signature.... since I have a AMD processor, I tried to disable ACPI in BIOS before booting to linux and I still have the same problem.
I've tryed to boot into text console and it still freezes.
Okay... it's starting to drive me nuts... I've even tryed Grub and a reinstall and nothing seems to be working!!!
Any help would be most appreciated.
