[ADMIN] start apps auto at KDE session (resolved)
i would like to run automatically gkrellm. how can i do it ?
I wrote a small script (that is working, i tested it) that i placed in /etc/init.d/, i then created a symbolic link (ln -s) in /etc/rc5.d/ (5 -> mandrake, X session) and changed the rights (+x).
But it did not run when KDE starts ??? Why ?

have you tried running the script from .bashrc ( or which ever shell you use)
then it should run when you log in !

You can add a symlink in the ~./kde/Autostart directory to gtkrelm to get it to start automatically.
