Where is grub.conf? (mandrake 10.1 community)
I want to edit my grub startup screen. Normally I expect to edit grub .conf or menu.lst but neither of those files seems to exist with this distro, even though grub works normally. (First I looked in /boot/grub; then I searched the whole linux file system; couldn't find them except for a demo menu.lst in the docs section.)
grub --version gives 0.95. I am not booting from the mbr, by the way -- windows xp hogs that-- but from hda2.
Thanks.
Addendum: I see that there is a /etc/lilo.conf. Does mandrake really use lilo? WHY?

Mandrake uses lilo. As for why? I guess for the same reason Redhat choose to use Grub

Lilo v grub
I was under the impression that Lilo had been superceded by Grub. Maybe my sources were biased.. Anyway, thanks.
