need help dual booting
Hello,
am new to Linux mandriva 2011/2010, and trying to dual boot it with windows 7, but when i start the installation it shows me that DarkX partitioning has 2 options:
1-use all the hard disk as it is free
2-custom layouts
both shows that my hard disk is fully free and has no windows installation or any primary disks :/
am trying to install on Toshiba A660.
any help will be appreciated

I'm unfamiliar with the installer program that Mandriva uses, so I can't give detailed steps there.
How many hard drives do you have installed? If you have multiple HDD in this computer, make sure that the installer is pointed to the correct one.
But from the LiveCD, open a Terminal window. Execute the following command:
That's a lower-case L at the end.Code:fdisk -l
