try www.rpmfind.net . Just type "xft" into the search box and it'll spit up a number of download sites.

I think you should be able to install it using URPMI.
Or maybeCode:uprmi xft
Let us know if that works. You may have to setup URPMI first.Code:urpmi xft-devel

i was having the same problem and was able to install glib2-devel and pango-devel to get around the error.
