    Xft library??


    Where do i get the Xft library?? Im trying to install gtk 2.6 and i get the folling error

    configure: error: Xft Pango backend is required for x11 target

    Im using Mandrake 10.1.

    try www.rpmfind.net . Just type "xft" into the search box and it'll spit up a number of download sites.

    I think you should be able to install it using URPMI.

    uprmi xft
    Or maybe

    Code:
    urpmi xft-devel
    Let us know if that works. You may have to setup URPMI first.

    i was having the same problem and was able to install glib2-devel and pango-devel to get around the error.
