mdk 10.1 for amd64...is it possible?
sup guys...was wondering if its possible to install 10.1 on a 64 bit system....Im trying to install, but im not getting past the driver install step...it just hangs...and if i let it set long enough...i get a "failed to load" error....is there anyway to get past this...

also wanted you to know that i have both the 6 disk version and the DVD version....i used the dvd version on my laptop and it installed fine...but both hang on my desktop

You need to get a 64 bit version of Mandrake. 10.0 is the newest 64 bit version of it.

ok, thanks...thats what i wanted to know...
one other thing....i have the 64 bit edition also, but how do i get it to istall bootloader....i get the error .: whatever that is....then if it acts like its gonna take, it hangs too...

Try unplugging all of your USB peripherals. That the only thing I can think of.

Are you sure the disc is okay? Did you check the md5sum?

Ill second that. Also I assume it gets to the stage installing the boot loader then hangs right? Did look to see were it hangs? If not watch it next time.Are you sure the disc is okay? Did you check the md5sum?

md5sum? well, i installed it on my laptop no problems...as for the point of hang up....read my first post....it doesnt make it past driver install.
