New Mandrake Install - KDE display
I just installed Mandrake 10.1 on my 650MHZ Athlon based system. My video card is a Kasan Blitz 2200 (I beleive this has the Rendition Verite 2200 chipset).
The system boots fine, and the display is fine until I start KDE. Once KDE starts, the graphics display is OK, but the labels on buttons and menu items appear in what seems to be an ultra-tiny font - it's just like a line of pixels where the words should be. The buttons and menu items function, at least the ones I can recognize and click on without being able to read the lables.
I've tried several video hardware setting changes in the installer setup program, but with no success. Should I be using a different video card?

what resolution are you using. that could be your problem if it is set too high.
