internet and storage problem
i am using mandrake linux official 10.1 and i am a bigginner. i can download from the internet but i can not not upload anything. and i have linux installed on my ide hard drive, but linux cant seem to detect or use my SATA hard drives. PLEEEEEEEEEEESE HELP

i cant upload to the inteernet at all. I tried to transfer files with kopete. and just simply just uploading to internet.

ya, its like all outgoing traffic from my computer is being blocked, but there is no firewall on

have you checked the iptables ?maybe there are some rules that block the outgoing traffic.or the router has a build-in firewall.

yes the router does have a firewall but it has never affected it b4, and when i use windows everything works fine

Are you trying to ftp files? If so, kopete isn't going to work. Try gFTP or some such similar program. Also, if you can't send files using kopete, try using xchat.
