    Problems with SATA hard drive


    Hi.
    I've got a Seagate SATA hard drive and i can't install Mandrake 10 rc1 X86_64.
    After i accept the licence the installer tell me that can't write files into a device
    If someone can help me i apreciate

    It is possible that your bios version needs a fix to support SATA. Maybe flashing the BIOS can help. If not, run chkdisk on a bootable disk to revise the entire hard drive and see if its physical damage. If this does not work, google it!! Hope i have helped you.
