I just downloaded firefox and installed it, but how do I run the damn thing? Is there some way to get a desktop icon or something similar? It doesn't show ...

Installing programs?
I just downloaded firefox and installed it, but how do I run the damn thing? Is there some way to get a desktop icon or something similar? It doesn't show up in my start menu equivalent in KDE. (I am a veteran windows user btw.)

If you know where you installed the app, just right click the desktop and select Create New<Link to application and just browse to where you have the program.
