Mandrake 10.1 Login
I can not logon to mandrake. It stops at welcome screen. Is there anything equal to the control alt delete to show root or a user account? I am a noob so please advise.

Thats odd.. did you create a user account/password during the install? If you need to log in to make one press ctrl+alt+F1 log in as root, enter a password then create a user and password.

try starting up using the failsafe option. then log in using the console and once you do type in the command "startx" to bring up ur GUI.

sorry it was unsuccessful. i think i am going to reinstall it this weekend. i am worried about losing my boot log for windows though. thanks again.

thanks for your help. i have reinstalled and i created mutliple users and its working great now.
