Re-install problem - error mounting ext 3
Hi,
I'm reinstalling Mandrake 10.1 - I originally used it to partition my drive (Win XP is still there). I then tried Suse and Fedora, but now I want to come back to Mandrake but it won't install properly again.
After a problem free install routine I reboot. I get a screen of messages, the most relevant I believe are:
No volume group found (several times)
Error mounting ext 3
and then kernel panic, try passing ..... something or other.
Can anyone tell me what I did wrong? I've tried reformatting the boot and root partitions - actually I'm getting a bit confused with these things.
Thanks
George

Yes deleting all the partitions worked.
Don't know where they got screwed up.
Thanks
