    Login as root GUI? It's disabled by default for your protection (as it should be!). But... If you must, you can change the option in KDE Control Center, but you'll need to enter root's password. After you can it, you can simply type in root at the login prompt (followed by the password).

    start > system > configure your desktop > system > login manager.

    There will be an option there to allow root GUI login.
