    Two Operating Systems


    I have mandrake and I want to know how i install it so i can have two OSes (mandrake and windows). i have 2 hard drives.

    What all should I do to make it so i can have 2 operating systems?

    hi,
    follow the below steps in order to have a dual boot system:
    Note both disks must be connected at all times.

    1. Install Windows to the Master disk (1 st disk) and do not touch the 2nd disk during the windows installation
    2. Install Linux onto the 2nd disk (it will be called hdb in linux installation), do not write a new partition table for 1st disk (hda)
    3. During linux installation, when you get to the bootloader installation, install lilo to the MBR of the 1st disk.

    by disk you mean hard drive right?
