very easy question,... I declare it, I'm a n00b.
Hi all,
Now that I have setup my new Mandrake 10.1 Linux, I have a little question before I can go further in my learning.
I have installed MySQL, Apache, and well, everything I could click on. Also did all updates available. MySQL starts at boot, as well as Httpd or something like that,.. is that Apache?
And if so, where can I go to configurate it? And where should I put the files I want as a website?
Thanks a lot in advance!

Yes, httpd is Apache. The configuration files are in /etc/httpd/conf/commonhttpd.conf and httpd.conf. By default your files are in /var/www/html but if you want to use it as a user you have to change the conf file and enable it. If you want to work as a user, you must create directory called "public_html" in your home directory. Look at the conf files and read the comments carefully you'll get it right.
