No Login Screen After Install of 10.1 Official
I just did a clean install of Mandrake 10.1 Official. I get to the blue screen right where the login screen should come up only... well, nothing. I look at a big blue screen with nothing on it. Any button I can push to pop up a login screen? I hit control+Alt+F2 and can get to a terminal, but I dont know how to do anything from there. Tried typing KDE, but I think it failed because it was still running on the other screen. I'm not that great with this stuff. Anyone have ideas?

startx won't work, it thinks there's another X session running so what you need to do is the following:
Go to vterm 1 (ctrl+alt+F1)
Login as root and type:
Then switch to vterm 2 (ctr+alt+F2)Code:service dm stop
login as a normal user and type:
If that dosn't work, try:Code:kde
good luck, you'll need to do this each time you boot.Code:startx
