    Installing more packages after installation

    Hello,

I have installed Mandrake Linux, but would like to install more packages than I did during my install. Is it possible to add more packages from the CD's after installation has been completed? Also, where can I find Linux Drivers for various hardware?

If you go to the Mandrake Control Center, you can install new software there (or you can use urpmi <packagename> at the command line). Drivers for hardware are included with the distro and should be configured automagically (with a few exceptions).

There's also a site that will walk you through how to add sources for additional software:

There are two major products that come out of Berkeley: LSD and UNIX. We don't believe this to be a coincidence.
