    change resolutions

I tried changing my resolution in mandrake 10.1, I set it to go to 1280x1024 (17" lcd, its native res) it told me it had to restart kde in order to make the change.. I said okay.. it restarted now I have no display.. out of range it says. how do I get this back and why would it be out of range? this screen runs at 1280x768 @ 75hz?

Check your xorg.conf file to see what the defaults are and change accordingly.
