    That card should be supported...in your xorg.conf file, what does the "Device" section say?

    First of all i must say that i am using an alternate graphic card
    "Inno3D Savage2000 64 MB "
    becuse i cannot see anything with my "normal" (Inno3D GeForce FX5200 128 MB )

    anyway my "Device" Section says
    Identifier "device1"
    VendorName "S3 Inc."
    BoardName "S3 Savage2000" (Generic)"
    Driver "Savage"
    VideoRam 65536
    Option "DPMS"

    any general idea so far?
